We took the van load to the dump today and then loaded up the van so we can take the last (yeah!) load tomorrow. We had .86 tons. That's right, almost a full ton. Isn't that horrible?
Then we're going to load up Nick's stuff and hopefully take it down to him this weekend, and then exchange vans.
We got a call from the realtor today, and he said that the deal is essentially dead. He's been calling them repeatedly and they haven't returned any calls.
So when the contract with him is up, we're going to list with a different realtor. He's been okay, but our thoughts are that he's used up his contacts so we may as well go with someone else.
We're both upset. We were holding on to a slim chance that the deal might still go through. Ugh....
Simple Living Tip for the Day: Don't let 20 (or 10 or 5 or 2) years of stuff accumulate. Keep on top of it. If something's broken and won't be fixed, get rid of it. If you haven't worn it in a year, out it goes. It's a daily process that must be done or it gets out of control. Then your kids (or relatives or friends) will have to go through it all one day, and that's just not nice!
