DH and I now not only share a last name, but this wonderful cold too. Just one of the many perks of being a couple.

Since Spyros has to work tonight, I am writing later then normal having stayed off the computer to be with him during the day, while drowsing on the couch, and the dentist chair, and the.... (Yes, we have a dentist chair that really works. It's very comfortable and good for the back. Although it's large and bulky and takes up a lot of room....)

We opened presents from each other yesterday, shortly after he returned from his insane trip. Other then running out of gas on the freeway (this being the 6th time since we've been married) and having a friend bring him some gas, he said it really wasn't too bad. The longest he had to wait in line was five minutes.

I got some much needed jeans and (sexy, but comfortable) underwear, two different smelly lotions, two CDs and Charlie's Angels 2 DVD. Spyros opened four t-shirts, two tank tops (to wear under shirts), and two pairs of cargo shorts.

Since DH is a big and tall man, we rarely find clothes for him at yard sales. I spent a little under $45 for all his clothes, including sales tax and shipping charges, so I think it was a pretty good buy.

He had left the prices on my items (make it easier to return, although he's usually very good at picking stuff out), and he found one of the CDs at a used CD store and the undies were buy 3 get 3 free. This really made me happy seeing that he tried to find good prices!

Simple/Frugal Thought of the Day: If you buy presents from the store make sure to keep the receipt, and always look for the best sales price. This is easily done by shopping early and watching the big sales. (After Holidays and the change of the Seasons.)
