We signed the lease yesterday with the clause wrote in that we can get out if the closing falls through. We didn't have to pay the $100 deposit for the cats, so that was an extra bonus.

We'll get the key on the first (Leroy said we could get it whenever, put we don't want to jump the gun), and have all of our stuff moved in by the closing. So it will be nice and stress-free.

We still haven't heard about the couple's financing. The soon to be husband was in the hospital for kidney stones. Now granted that is nothing to shake a stick at, but if Spryos or I were in for that I would still be contacting our financer and keeping the selling party up to date. Your buying a house for Goddess sake, spending lots of money and you would think that you would do whatever is possible to have it go smoothly.

Or is that just me????

We're going to the Friday night get together usually thrown by Kat and Brian (tonight by Bill since he bought a new house and is the proud owner of a new kitchen!) I've never met Bill, (and probably some of the other people), but it should be fun. And with three guys cooking a five course meal, what more could you ask for?

My back is feeling better so I'm going to do some packing today. Mainly the eBay items that are in the back hallway and some office items that we won't be needing right now.

We sold two beer signs at the Preplayed place and are getting $20 for each. I would have expected more for the neon Tattoo sign, but it was free and we don't want it, so $40 is $40.

We also brought the large eight drawer dresser to MIL, so that's out of the garage. Now we just need FIL to come and take what he wants and we'll be pretty set.

I think we'll need one more trip to the dump, but that's not too bad. Kind of scary though, since that will be our fourth trip. It really saddens me that we contributed so much to the landfill, but most of the stuff to the dump was here before we moved in. And we did sell or donate as much of the usable items as we could.

This just means that we're going to be much more selective in future about what we buy. And we'll try to recycle items into something else, or use them until they fall apart.

I was going to get DH Alias Season 1 on DVD because he had mentioned numerous times that he wanted it. But we had a chat and both agreed that we don't want to just be getting stuff (ie; DVDs, books, etc...) that we may only watch once or twice. We're looking a lot harder at our purchases to make sure they are inline with our future goals.

I know that sounds really stuffy and boring, but it is something we really believe in doing, so.....
