I hope everyone has a productive and prosperous (being relationships, health issues, or even money!) New Year. I'm feeling very optimistic.
As I mentioned sometime back, I found a great site: Frugal Families They started a challenge that will be different each month, and if you would like a buddy or mentor, you can sign up for one. I signed up for a buddy, and am looking forward to working with her.
I encourage you to go there and check it out. You have a month to go there and see if you like it. I had not realized this at first, but after a month it's a paid site. I think you can still read the articles and some of the forum (but you can't post, if not a member), but I am not completely sure.....
As soon as my Paypal deposit goes through, I will be joining, and I can't wait. The people there are very friendly and helpful. And if you enjoy reading other people's blogs, it is similar to that becasue people post what they will be doing for the day, how they will (or won't ; ) ) be frugal, and even what they are planning to make for dinner!
We're going to be going into Madison today to return some things at Shopko and check out the after Christmas/New Year's Sales. And we're going to be seeing Return of the King.
Simple/Frugal Thought for the Day: Start gathering your tax papers and receipts. It's never too early to start preparing and before you know it April (or the appointment with your accountant) will be here.
