Thanks Jeriwho for letting me know what you think, and the positive comments.
The saga of our house begins another chapter.
Our realtor Neil showed the house to a guy named, Jim, who was really interested in turning it into a duplex. But in order to do that we need to go to the county of Dane and then the city of Windsor and get a variance okayed to turn it into one.
So we decided to do this because even if Jim doesn't put an offer in, someone else may if they can turn it into a duplex. And if nothing else, DH and I will turn it into one, and live in one half while renting out the other.
We have two meetings to go to, one the end of October and the other one Nov. 17. If both the county and town say we can then it's a go.
The only unfortunate thing is if they say no then we will be out $412. But the good thing is we can take it off our taxes if the house sells.
So.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
This morning I've been busy typing up CDs into the computer, trying to get a small library together. DH and his dad are DJing at a wedding this coming Saturday.
(For those of you who don't know, Spyros's family had a DJ business for many years. After we got married we decided to continue the DJ business, but after three years we decided it was too much. If DJing was our only job that would have been one thing, but it wasn't...)
Anyway Spyros hasn't DJed in about two years and his dad has been out of it closer to five, so it should be interesting. I know they will do a good job, but unfortunately our music library isn't up to date with the new songs.
The Bride and Groom are friends of FIL and know this, plus it's the Groom's fourth wedding, so I think it won't be as important as the first, or second.... And they like Country and older Rock n Roll. So they'll do good as long as there's not a lot of teenagers to request the new stuff. Oh, and they're doing it for free, so.....
But what ya gonna do? If you don't have it, you can't play it.
Simple Living thought for the day: Don't Procrastinate! (Spryos new about this months ago, but is just now getting it together!) You can save yourself stress, time and money (by not having to run to town a bunch of times to get things you forgot.)
But I know that's easier said than done. I, myself enjoy the rush of doing things the last minute. The extra push gives me the energy I need. Of course when I do finally finish I crash!
