Things around the apartment are shaping up very nicely... We got the washer and dryer yesterday. (Laundry is going as I type.) And a nice surprise, the camera was in, so we didn't have to wait until Tuesday or Thursday.

I had been looking for maroon shams or pillowcases to go with the new comforter, and found some pillow cases yesterday. We also needed darker curtains for the bedroom and living room, and fortunately I found some I liked right away. We have to go back and get three more panels, and I decided in the living room valances would look better, so we need to get three valances.

It's been about five years since the windows were we live have had curtains on them, and I rather like it. I have always been very picky about curtains, so at the old house all we had up were blinds, because I never saw curtains I liked (plus they are sooo expensive, but the ones I found were on sale).
But DH hates putting up blinds, and said "No more!", and besides being dust collectors, they are more difficult to clean then curtains.

After I ask DH to show me how to link pictures, I'll post some so you can see the old place and the mess in the new place.

It's a gorgeous, sunny day out. Perhaps after we get back from town, we'll go for a walk....

Frugal/Simple Thought of the Day: Go out and enjoy the first day of Spring. Perhaps you have a free zoo nearby, or some other outdoor activity. Now would be a great time to get out and stretch your muscles after the long winter months.
